Present: Chancellor Hitler. Ministers von Papen, von Neurath, Frick, Schwerin von Krosigk, Hugenberg , Seldte, v. Blomberg, Goebbels, Goering, Popitz...And then the Reich Chancellor discussed the preventive measures the National Socialist party had prepared against the Jewish incitement. He declared that he was the one to initiate the appeal to the party. He is convinced that a boycott that will last a few days will persuade Jewry that the terrible incitement they are conducting will first and foremost harm them. The defensive measures will have to be in the hands of the Party. Persuasion will lead nowhere.... Goering met the representatives of the concerned Jewish organisations, among them the CV (Central Association of German Jews) and the Union of Jewish Soldiers of the Front. In the Meeting they first attacked each other and then declared they would do their best to end the terrible incitement, especially in the U.S. and North America.... The Minister of Propaganda and Enlightenment [Goebbels] announced that the National Socialist Appeal to boycott has been especially effective. The proof of this is that the CV has asked that the Appeal be revoked. The CV promised to see to it that the incitement stops immediately....
